We don’t know about you, but we are SO ready to move beyond the whole mess of tiring New Years’ rhetoric masked as “resolutions” and “intentions”. This is such an important time to make consistent, frequent connections with the freedom and spaciousness of the Body Trust® message. So we thought we’d celebrate the move into February by sharing some of our most recent favorite podcasts and articles:
Dietitians Unplugged Podcast:
Episode 51 of The BodyLove Project with Jessi Haggerty:
Sally Tamarkin’s article in Buzzfeed:
Portland Monthly article:
We will be launching our Body Story Archive soon, and are seeking submissions. After working with individuals and groups for over a decade, we’ve continually witnessed the powerful shifts toward healing that occur when we explore, name, and reclaim our body stories and share our process with people who support our liberation. The Body Story Archive is a place for us to witness and be witnessed. It is a place to find a reflection of ourselves in others. It is a place to externalize shame, blame and bias that has lived in so many of our bodies for so long. You can read more about it here.
Finally, we’re excited to share that we’ll be speaking along with 11 other leaders in the field at the 2018 EDRDpro Symposium! EDRDpro stands for Eating Disorder Registered Dietitians and Professionals. This is a virtual, watch-at-your-own-pace conference, and an excellent opportunity for students and professionals who want to learn more about eating disorders, HAES® and non-diet approaches. You don’t have to be a dietitian to register. Check out the full speaker schedule and details here.
May we be reminders—each for the other—that the path to Body Trust® is a fiercely compassionate one.
