Our 2017 Holiday Gift Guide

Happy Holidays!

There are many things people consider when buying holiday gifts for the special people in their lives. We wanted to highlight some talented people’s work and offer some ideas, in the spirit of supporting marginalized communities and a just and equitable world.

Some Favorites

We fell in love with Jennifer Price Davis’s angel series, and we commissioned a Body Trust is My Birthright angel that we are so excited to share with you later this week. Stay tuned for the big reveal!

Desiree Adaway is a fierce writer and leader in the fight for racial equity and social justice. Her Dear Sister card deck has liberatory messages and writing prompts that will deepen your inner liberation work and justice-doing.

Nalgona Positivity Pride focuses on intersectional body positivity, eating disorder awareness, and cultural affirmation. Their Etsy shop has some of our favorite tees, posters and pins. NPP’s found, Gloria Lucas, has a Patreon Page where you can support her work and emotional labor through a monthly donation.

We love Substantia Jones and The Adipositivity Project Calendar she puts out every year.  Put images of fat bodies where you see them regularly to increase your own body acceptance.

We just discovered these handmade, fabric Melinas Dolls made in Mexico by a group of women dedicated to feminine empowerment. You can customize a doll with scars, stretch marks, moles and hair, and choose your own size and shape of boobs!

Support the Important Work of Others

The most revolutionary work is often done for free. Consider donating to these artists, writers, and organizations who need our support.

Nalgona Positivity Pride
Trans Folx Fighting Eating Disorders

We saw the amazing documentary Fattitude when we were in NYC for the BEDA conference. It felt like we finally had a movie to show people about body liberation that gets it right. Make a donation to help them get this important film shown in theatres around the world!

Be Nourished Swag

We have a variety of products for sale in our store to support your practice of Body Trust. Here are some of our favorites:

Reclaim Body Trust card decks and pendants. (Or grab a bundle with both!)
Weight-neutral zone poster or door hanger.

**We’ll be donating 20% of our holiday sales from the Be Nourished store to Black Lives Matter.

Wishing you peace this holiday season.
